A 15,000 sq ft clear-span warehouse with an attached office block for a Sialkot exporter, built to a 20-week programme.
The brief
An exporter needed a bonded warehouse ready before the autumn shipping season. Twenty weeks from signing to the first forklift.
What we engineered
- A clear-span pre-engineered steel frame with a 100 ft span, so racking could be laid out freely.
- A 150 mm reinforced floor slab with a laser-screeded finish and a hardener topping, designed for forklift loads.
- A two-storey RCC office block with its own entrance, built in parallel with the steel erection.
The result
The first container was unloaded in week nineteen.
